1 day from Baku
Shusha Day Trip
A focused day in the cultural capital of Karabakh: panoramas, fortress walls and the heart of Shusha without rushing it.

A relaxed pace through Shusha plus the scenic Karabakh approach, with an overnight that lets the place breathe.
The format we recommend for a first visit. A night in between takes the rush out of it: you arrive, walk Shusha in the late light, and still have a full morning for the viewpoints before the road back.
Transfers, the driver-guide, one night of accommodation and the entry permit are included, and it works out cheaper per day than the day trip.
Scenic Karabakh approach
The road west from Baku into the Karabakh region, with stops where the landscape changes and the driver-guide explains what you are looking at.
Jidir Duzu plateau
The open meadow on the cliff edge above the Dashalti gorge, where Shusha held its horse races and music festivals.
Shusha city & museums
The old quarter on foot: its mosques, merchant houses, and the bullet-scarred busts of Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeyir Hajibeyli brought home to the city.
Dashalti forest viewpoints
The wooded gorge below the cliffs of Shusha, seen from the viewpoints above it.
What's included

The day trip spends much of its time on the road. With a night in between you see Shusha at an unhurried pace, get a second morning for the viewpoints, and pay less per day.

I don’t run tours from behind a desk. I meet a lot of our guests myself and often drive them across the country, and what I want is for every one of them to leave already thinking about coming back.
Khalid spent most of his childhood in Shusha. That is why this company is built around Karabakh rather than treating it as one stop among many, and why he would rather you saw the city slowly than efficiently. Showing Azerbaijan to people who have never seen it is the part of the work he likes most.

More about the companyReal stories from travelers who discovered Karabakh and Azerbaijan with Pink Travel.

We had a great trip to Karabakh with Pink Travel and Xalid. It was a private 2 day tour which was specifically tailored to our interests. Xalid was very good at communicating with us prior to the trip and we felt that we were in good hands. We stayed in a hotel in Khankendi which was in the centre of the city, Xalid showed us all the main sights across Karabakh in the two days we were there, it's such beautiful countryside. The highlight for me, of course, was Susha! Xalid sorted out our authorisation to visit the area in advance and he also took us to meet some of his friends in the region and we also had the chance to chat to other locals during the course of our trip. He was an excellent driver and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.

Great experience start to finish with Pink Travel. Our guide made it easy and enjoyable to see Baku and the Karabakh. Sights, restaurants, meeting people: everything was organised really well, flexible when plans changed. Highly recommend to anyone.

I planned a trip to Karabakh with Pink Travel Agency last year, and I had a great experience. Khalid was incredibly helpful and managed to organize everything for me on very short notice. He was not only a knowledgeable guide but also very entertaining, making the whole time enjoyable and memorable. I really appreciated his flexibility and professionalism. I would happily travel with Pink Travel Agency and Khalid again. Highly recommended!

In October 2025 I had a 3-days travel to Karabagh. Very well organized, interesting trip with a reasonable price. Khalid was easy to communicate with and is well informed about culture and history. Recommendable

The tour was genuinely fantastic. Top-class guide. A brand new, comfortable coach. The hotels were all exactly like the photos, really great. The biggest and most important plus of this tour is the low price combined with top quality — exactly what every traveller is looking for. We liked absolutely everything, and we will be booking with this company again. Many thanks ☺️

We’ve just returned from a long 4-day trip with Khalid and Pink Travel. Everything went smoothly and exactly as agreed. Khalid catered to our individual requirements and everything was brilliant. I can highly recommend his services. A wonderful country – we’ll definitely be back for more adventures, and Chalid will be our guide again! I’d give it 6 stars :-)
